JFDA destroyed 7,639kg of spoiled food in 2025 in Madaba

Ammon News - Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) has destroyed 7,639 kilograms of spolied food items and 119 litres of juices during inspection tours in Madaba governorate since the beginning of the current year.

In remarks to "Petra" Thursday, the JFDA said its Madaba office has conducted 408 monitoring tours since the beginning of the year, adding that 193 entities were warned, while 27 establishments were suspended, and 2 were shut down.

The JFDA noted underlined its "important" awareness-raising role in Madaba by organizing periodic workshops and educational lectures for various food sectors.

As for its services, the JFDA noted its "prompt" response to any comments from citizens, which are followed up and dealt with as "quickly and effectively as possible." Petra
