Ammon News - The value of bounced checks decreased to JD82 million in February, compared to JD91 million in January, representing 2.57% of the total checks in circulation.
The total value of checks circulating in Jordan last month reached JD3.2 billion, a 5% decrease compared to January, according to statistics from the Jordan Payments and Clearing Systems Company (JoPACC).
In February, the total number of bounced checks was 14,400, of which 64.9% were bounced for financial reasons, and 35.1% for technical reasons.
The value of checks circulating in Jordan during the first two months of 2025 reached JD6.57 billion, with the number of checks reaching 941,200.
It is noteworthy that the number of checks in circulation in Jordan last year amounted to 6.51 million, with a value of JD40.3 billion Jordanian.
