Poets grace sixth evening of Sharjah Arabic Poetry Festival

Ammon News - Seven poets, from different Arab countries, graced the sixth evening of the Sharjah Arabic Poetry Festival.
The 7 poets included Hassan Shihab El Din (Egypt), Sawsan Dahneem (Bahrain), Abdullah Al Hadiyya (UAE), Salem Al Shaabani (Tunisia), Mohammed Shodab (Syria), Qusay Al Nabhani (Sultanate of Oman), and Ala Khadrou (Lebanon). The evening was moderated by poet Abdullah Abu Bakr (Jordan).

The evening was held at Sharjah Cultural Palace, in the presence of His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture in Sharjah; Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qaseer, Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs in the Department; Mohammed Al Buraiki, Director of the House of Poetry; and a large audience of poets, intellectuals and academics.

Poems carried many topics that explore the depths of the human soul, and other humanitarian, emotional, and national topics.

The evening was opened by the Egyptian poet Hassan Shihab El Din with several poems in which he excelled in presenting texts that carry humanitarian and philosophical dimensions.

He was followed by the Bahraini poet Susan Dahneem, who recited poems full of nostalgia and warmth, with various titles.

Tunisian poet Salem Al Shaabani improvised by presenting distinctive poems.

The Syrian poet Muhammad Shawdab presented a number of poems with deep feelings and eloquent language.

The Omani poet Qusay Al Nabhani performed his poems with his own methodology.

The evening was concluded by the Lebanese poet Ola Khadrou, who dazzled the audience with her poetic texts.

At the end of the evening, His Excellency Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Owais, Muhammad Ibrahim Al Qaseer, and Muhammad Al Buraiki, honoured the participating poets, and the evening’s director with certificates of appreciation in honour of the distinctive readings they presented that touched the hearts of the audience. sharjah24
