New TRENDS’ study explores opportunities and challenges .. AI is Here to Stay: What Can Be Done?

Ammon News - TRENDS Research & Advisory has issued a new study in English that sheds light the spread of AI in our daily life and the challenges posed by this rapid technological development.

The study, titled “AI is Here to Stay: What Can Be Done?” examines the increasing applications of AI in various fields such as healthcare, media, and commercial services, where many companies rely on AI tools to improve efficiency and save time.

The study, authored by Jordanian journalist Jumana Al-Tamimi, cites success stories of AI in improving disease diagnosis and reducing medical errors. It also discusses the role of AI in media and investigative journalism. However, it raises concerns about the negative aspects of using AI, such as manipulation of information and voices, as happened in notable cases of fraud and scam.

The study also examines the concerns about AI replacing human in certain jobs, pointing out that history shows that every technological advancement often opens new prospects for and creates different job opportunities. It emphasizes the importance of establishing regulatory frameworks to ensure the safe and responsible use of modern technologies.

Further, the study highlights the efforts of the GCC countries, particularly the UAE and Saudi Arabia, in developing advanced AI strategies and diversifying their economies through substantial investments in technology.
