Fayez says revenues, tourism begin to recover in Aqaba

26-12-2024 04:01 PM

Ammon News - Chief commissioner Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), Nayef Fayez, revealed that the revenues of the container port and tourism in the Aqaba region have begun to recover gradually.

During the parliamentary finance committee's discussion of the 2025 budget on Thursday, Fayez said that this was a dangerous indicator for Aqaba and the economy before it returned to recovery and began to recover during the recent period.

There are indicators of a good end, which may keep the decline rates at 7-8% instead of the decline recorded by the container port by 47% last January, he indicated.

Regarding the tourism sector, Fayez confirmed that tourism has also begun to recover in Aqaba, although it is still low, but the recovery indicators are good.
