Ammon News - Prime Minister Jafar Hassan on Thursday reviewed the progress of the Prince Faisal Sports City project in Karak, aligning with His Majesty King Abdullah II's visit to the region on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee.
Minister of Youth Yazan Shdeifat reported that the first phase of the project had reached 35% completion.
This phase includes a semi-Olympic swimming pool, a children's educational pool, and public stands.
To expedite the project's completion, Hassan directed immediate action to secure financial funding for the second and third phases to implement the all three phases simultaneously, avoiding delays caused by awaiting next year’s tender issuance. The Prime Minister emphasized completing the entire project by June's end.
Hassan also instructed project managers to prioritize expanding green spaces within the sports city by reducing the area allocated to corridors and concrete pathways.
The second phase focuses on constructing a five-a-side football field, an acrylic court, additional stands, buildings, health facilities, and green spaces.
The third phase involves service buildings, outdoor spaces, children's play areas, kiosks, further green spaces, and parking facilities. Petra
