Sales of mid-sized apartments have declined by 8% over the past 10 months

Ammon News - According to the tables from the Land and Survey Department, the demand for medium-sized apartments (120-150 square meters) fell by 8% in the first 10 months of this year compared to the corresponding period last year.

During a span of 10 months, roughly 8.21 thousand medium-sized apartments were sold, in contrast to the 8.89 thousand apartments sold in the equivalent timeframe in 2023.

Conversely, the demand for larger apartments (over 150 square meters) rose by 6% at the end of last October, reaching around 13 thousand units, in contrast to approximately 12.3 thousand sold in the initial ten months of the previous year.

The report from the Land and Survey Department indicated that the demand for small apartments (under 120 square meters) rose by 1%, totaling 9.2 thousand units sold by the end of October this year.

Each month, sizable apartments experienced a notable demand in October, with figures hitting 1.57 thousand apartments compared to 1.33 thousand in October of the previous year, marking a rise of 17%.

Demand for small apartments also increased by 7%, compared to a 1% decrease in demand for medium-sized apartments in October 2024 compared to October 2023, according to data from the Land Department.

Real estate sales in Jordan decreased during the first ten months of this year by 5%, as apartment sales of various sizes increased by 1%, while land sales decreased by 6% compared to the same period last year.
