Standard Chartered Bank Jordan expands payment network

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Standard Chartered Bank Jordan in partnership with Safeway/The Sultan Center announced the expansion of its payment network to 17 additional payment locations. Standard Chartered Credit Cardholders now have the convenience of making cash payments of their credit card bills of up to a maximum of 3,000 Jordanian Dinar at any of the 17 Safeway/TSC stores in the Kingdom.

Commenting on the partnership, Geoffrey Buchanan, Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank Jordan, said:

“As we celebrate 85 years in Jordan in 2010, we strive to continuously provide our customers with innovative services and products that add value and convenience to their lives. This partnership with Safeway/TSC is a testament to our continued strong performance and competitive advantage amidst challenging market conditions.”

Ashish Sood, Head of Consumer Banking at Standard Chartered Bank Jordan, added:

Standard Chartered Bank is the oldest bank in Jordan having acquired the operations of Grindlays Bank in Jordan in 2000 which had previously operated as the Ottoman Bank since 1925. The Bank has five branches, three in Amman, and one in both Irbid and Aqaba, and serves both retail and corporate customers.
