Ammon News - Ambassador Amjad Al-Adayleh, Jordan's envoy to the Arab League, stated on Thursday that Jordan is urging a united Arab effort to address initiatives that pose a threat to UNRWA's legitimacy.

During an important meeting of the Council of the Arab League led by Yemen's permanent delegates, Adayleh emphasized that attacking UNRWA's immunity and purpose is like a political murder, and criticizing its activities, labeling it as terrorist, and trying to shut down its main office cannot go unanswered.

Adayleh emphasized that UNRWA is connected to the inherent right of Palestinian refugees.

The Arab League meeting was requested by Jordan to address the Israeli Knesset's illegal laws banning UNRWA activities in Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem.
