Indonesian Embassy in Amman Celebrates 79th Independence Anniversary

Ammon News - The Indonesian Embassy in Amman hosted a reception marking Indonesia’s 79th Independence Anniversary, attended by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Nancy Nimruqa, alongside various officials, diplomats, and media representatives.

In his address, Indonesian Ambassador Ade Padmo Sarwono underscored the strong and multifaceted relations between Jordan and Indonesia, emphasizing Jordan’s significance as a key destination for Indonesian tourists and the growing prominence of Indonesian products in Jordanian markets.

Sarwono highlighted the increasing numbers of Indonesian students choosing Jordan for higher education, with over 1,000 students currently enrolled in Jordanian universities.

Expressing appreciation for Jordan’s solidarity with Palestine, Ambassador Sarwono noted the cooperation between Jordan and Indonesia through platforms such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League Contact Group, particularly in efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza and provide humanitarian assistance to those affected.
