Ammon News - Tourism revenues during the first three quarters of 2024 amounted to $5,571.8 million, down 4.3% compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
The decline is due to a 7.0% decline in the number of tourists, according to preliminary data issued by the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ).
The data also showed that tourism income from Jordanian expatriates increased by 4.9% and from Arabs by 10.9%, while tourism income from European, American and other nationalities decreased by 54.3%, 38.6% and 20.4% respectively.
