Ammon News - Prime Minister Dr. Bisher Khasawneh's government officially submitted its resignation on Sunday morning, according to Ammon's sources.
Khasawneh and the ministers met on Sunday at the Prime Ministry before the government submitted its resignation to Majesty the King.
The Director of His Majesty's Office, Jaafar Hassan, is the closest candidate to succeed Khasawneh in the next government, the sources said.
Jaafar Hassan is a politician and former Jordanian minister born in 1968. He worked in several positions, including Minister of Planning and International Cooperation between 2009 and 2013, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Economic Affairs in 2018, and is currently the Director of His Majesty's Office.
