58,800 voters cast their votes in the first hour of the start of the electoral process to choose the members of the 20th House of Representatives, according to the Independent Election Commission (IEC).
Muhammad Khair Al-Rawashdeh, the IEC's spokesperson, said that this number includes about 6,000 polling station staff.
Voters flocked to the ballot boxes since Tuesday morning at 7:00 am, as media sources reported that the turnout rates were considered good in the first hour of opening the boxes in the various governorates of the Kingdom.
