King Hussein Bridge closed until further notice

Ammon News - The Bridges Security Department, affiliated with the Public Security Directorate (PSD), announced the closure of King Hussein Bridge to the movement of departing and arriving passengers and cargo until Monday, September 9, until further notice.

The Public Security Directorate announced on Sunday the closure of the bridge to traffic, after it was closed from the other side until further notice.

The Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday that the initial investigations into the shooting incident on the other side of the King Hussein Bridge confirmed that the shooter is a Jordanian citizen named Maher Diab Hussein Al Jazi, a resident of the Al-Hussainiya area in Ma'an Governorate, and that he crossed the bridge as a driver of a cargo vehicle carrying commercial goods from Jordan to the West Bank.
