Ammon News - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Saleh Kharabsheh, confirmed that 27% of the electricity consumed in the Kingdom comes from renewable energy.

Kharabsheh explained the importance of the Cabinet’s decision to approve the cancellation of a previous decision issued in 2019 regarding stopping the granting of any new approvals for electric power projects using the transit method or net metering for any project with a capacity exceeding one megawatt.

During the Government Communication Forum on Tuesday entitled: "The System for Regulating the Connection of Renewable Energy Source Facilities to the Electricity System," Kharabsheh said that it is one of the important decisions related to the energy sector.
