Jordan sends new 70-truck aid convoy to northern Gaza

Ammon News - The Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army and the Jordan Hashemite Charitable Organization (JHCO) sent a new humanitarian aid convoy to the people in northern Gaza, in cooperation with the World Food Program (WFP) and with the support of a number of organizations, companies and institutions.

The convoy, consisting of 70 trucks, carried basic food parcels, consumables, medical supplies, and medicines, to be distributed to the people in Gaza, specifically within the northern regions of the Strip, through associations and partner organizations in the Strip.

JHCO's Secretary General, Hussein Shibli said that the suffering that our people in Gaza are going through could turn into a humanitarian disaster, as all reports received indicate that we are approaching famine in the Gaza Strip.

The Jordanian efforts are continuing to bring in humanitarian aid to work to alleviate and stop this tragic situation, Shibli added.

He also explained that the total number of trucks that have entered the Gaza Strip to date is 2,110 trucks and 53 aircraft via El-Arish Airport.
