Dry, hot weather in most regions until Tuesday

Ammon News - The heat blast will continue to affect the Kingdom Saturday and the weather will be dry and hot over the high areas and scorching in the other regions, Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.

In its report, the JMD warns of the danger of direct exposure to sunlight and dehydration, as well as fire outbreak in forest areas.

The department also warned of the danger of leaving children unattended inside closed vehicles, even for a short time.

According to the update, Sunday will be see a slight drop in temperatures, with blazing weather forecast countrywide. Moreover, the hot spell will continue to roast Jordan on Monday and Tuesday.

Also today, temperatures in the capital Amman will hit a range of 40-24 degrees Celsius, meanwhile the port city of Aqaba will reach a blistering 47 degrees Celsius during the day, sliding to 31 degrees Celsius at night. Petra
