Ammon News - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs welcomed the adoption by the UN Security Council of a resolution calling for an immediate and complete ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and an exchange deal, in a way that ensures the arrival of adequate and sustainable humanitarian aid to all parts of the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry’s official spokesperson, Sufyan Qudah, stressed the importance of implementing this decision, which is consistent with the rules of international law and the principles upon which the United Nations was founded, and represents the international will calling for an end to the war on the Gaza Strip, ensuring the protection of civilians, and the delivery of adequate and sustainable humanitarian aid to all parts of the Gaza Strip.
Qudah stressed the need to force Israel to comply with the rules of international law and international humanitarian law and to stop its senseless war on the Gaza Strip, whose people are suffering from an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression against it since October 7.
