Ammon News - A couple discovered a secret room inside the house they’d lived in for years before, sparking social media to create several theories on how the previous tenants used the space.
TikTok user Aurora Blazingstar captured the moment her husband pushed a portion of a wall out of the way to reveal an open metal door and a small room inside their walls.
“What the f–k, we have never seen this in our house and we have lived here for four years,” Blazingstar said in a video posted earlier this month.
The secret room was discovered when the couple was removing carpet in their basement, only to discover the “sliding drywall pocket door.”
The couple proposed several instances in which the former homeowners used the room such as a bomb shelter, panic room, and gun safe.
The elongated room contained a working light switch and bulb, several wires hanging on the wall, a drain, four mats and “rust” patches on the floor.
The questionable spots on the ground drew concern from Blazingstar who suggested calling the police and bringing in a canine to investigate.
“Should we bring in a cadaver dog?” the forensic nurse asked. “No, they’ve probably had a gun safe in here.”
Blazingstar’s husband, a physician stood in the doorway the entire video, gave his own theory of what the room was meant to be.
“I think this was meant as a kind of panic room.”
The local police were eventually called to the home to investigate the mysterious room but found no evidence of any crime, Blazingstar said in a subsequent video.
As they exited the enclosed space the couple came up with ideas on utilizing the newly discovered extra space.
