Ammon News - The number of money transfers carried out in Jordan during the past months of January and February reached 1.8 million transactions, with a value of JD1.4 billion Jordanian, according to statistics compiled by the Jordan Payments and Clearing Company (JoPACC).

The total number of transfers carried out in the 'Jordanian dinar' amounted to 893 thousand transactions during February, compared to 909 thousand transactions in the previous January, a decrease of 1.8%, according to the statistics.

The value of these transfers amounted to JD702 million last month, compared to JD710 million in January, a decrease of 1.1%.

The total number of transfers carried out in foreign currencies during last February was 2,194 transactions in US dollars worth $33.4 million, in addition to 283 transactions in euros worth €2.7 million, and 27 transactions in British pounds worth £250 thousand.
