Ammon News - On this day, specifically at dawn on Wednesday, March 4, 1193 AD, the actual founder of the Ayyubid state, Commander Salah al-Din al-Ayubbi, died after suffering from bilious fever on Saturday, February 20, 1193 AD.

He was afflicted with insomnia, and he only slept a little at night, and the illness began to intensify and increase until it ended until Weakness.

His death saddened Muslims in general and Damascenes in particular. Many cried at his funeral and he was buried near the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus, next to King Nour al-Din Zengi.
