3 U.S. troops killed, 34 injured in attack on al-Tanf base, Gov't says base is not in Kingdom

Ammon News - Three U.S. troops were killed and at 34 were injured Sunday evening in a drone attack on the Jordanian-Syrian border at al-Tanf base.

The official spokesperson for the Jordanian government Muhannad Mubaideen told Ammon News Agency that al-Tanf base that was attacked on Sunday is not in Jordan.

"Terrorist militias carried out the attack that targeted the al-Tanf... and the base is outside our borders," Mubaideen told Jordan TV.

For his part, US President Joe Biden pledged to hold all those responsible for the attack accountable at the appropriate time and in the manner chosen by the United States.

"We will continue our commitment to combating terrorism and will hold all those responsible for the attack on our forces accountable," Biden added.
