Dramatic footage shows moment car smashes into café window in Italy

Ammon News - Closed-circuit television (CCTV( footage showsed the moment a car crashed into a café in Turin, Italy.

The incident happened around 9:30am local time, as customers were enjoying their breakfast inside the local coffee shop.

Seven people were taken to hospital with minor injuries, but there are no reports of casualties.

The speedometer on the car at the moment of the crash got stuck on 115km/h (around 71mph), according to local media.

"It could have been a real carnage, at least 10 people could have died," Simona Carastro, the café owner's daughter told the BBC.

"Now we're just hoping that we'll be able to reopen the café as soon as possible, considering the extensive financial damage."

Police are still investigating the circumstances of the crash.
