FM departs for New York to participate in UN Security Council meeting

Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, participates on Tuesday in the work of the meeting of the United Nations Security Council regarding the situation in the Middle East, especially the Palestinian issue, at a ministerial level.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs begins on Tuesday a working visit to New York.
The UN Security Council holds on Tuesday its monthly open session on the situation in the Middle East, especially the Palestinian issue, at a ministerial level.
The meeting will be chaired by French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Stéphane Séjourné, and the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, will brief the Council members on the situation in Palestine, especially in Gaza.
The foreign ministers of some major countries are scheduled to participate in the session, including the Russian Federation.
