Rainfall raises dams storage to 96.5 mcm -Water ministry

Ammon News - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation announced Wednesday that the rainy season has increased to 37% of the long-term annual average due to the depression affecting the Kingdom.

The long-term annual rate of rainfall rose to 37% and that the total storage in the main dams rose to 96.5 million cubic metres, the ministry added.

The total storage percentage rose to 33.4% of the dams’ storage capacity, which amounts to 288,128 million cubic metres, the minitry stated.

It also pointed out that the highest amount of precipitation in 24 hours was recorded in Naour in the capital with 7.1 mm.
