Jordan loses 1-6 to Japan in Asian Cup warm-up

Ammon News - The Jordanian national football team lost to its Japanese counterpart with a score of 1-6 in a match held on Tuesday as part of the final preparations for the two teams to participate in the Asian Cup, which begins next Friday in Qatar.

Saleh Rateb scored Jordan's only goal in the 87th minute.

Japan scored 4 goals in the first half, with Ko Itakura opening the scoring in the 14th minute, then Takato Nakamura adding the second goal 4 minutes later.

Japan added the third goal in the 32nd minute, before Takumi Minamino scored the fourth goal near the end of the first half.

Takuma Asano scored Japan's fifth goal in the 71st minute, before Daizen Maeda completed Japan's scoring in the 79th minute.

The Jordanian national team is playing in the 5th group of the Asian Cup with Malaysia, South Korea and Bahrain, while the Japanese national team is in the 4th group with Vietnam, Iraq and Indonesia.
