PSD: Wanted drug dealers arrested in raids across Jordan

Ammon News - The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that workers in the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND), after collecting intelligence information about a number of wanted and suspected persons and repeat cases of drug trafficking in the Central Badia, and determining their locations and criminal activities, they implemented a joint and simultaneous security campaign on those sites.

Five people were arrested, one of them classified as dangerous, who was found in possession of 27,000 narcotic pills and 90 palms of hashish, while a drug dealer was arrested and 10 palms of hashish and two firearms were found in his possession, according to the PSD's spokesperson.

Another drug dealer was arrested in the Capital after a raid, and 39,000 narcotic pills were seized in his possession, while 33,000 narcotic pills were seized in another case in Ma'an Governorate in the possession of a drug dealer.

In Mafraq Governorate, two cases of promoters were dealt with, in the first case, a promoter was arrested in possession of 13 palms of hashish, while the other was arrested in the second case in possession of 8 palms of hashish.

Anti-drug cadres also thwarted in one of the areas of Southern Shouna an attempt by a repeat drug offender to grow quantities of marijuana seedlings, and he was arrested and the planted seedlings were seized.
