Two chances of snowfall in Jordan this winter

Ammon News - The CEO of ArabiaWeather Mohammed Al-Shaker said that snow is expected to fall this year two times, in January and in March.

The chances of snowfall are high in the current winter, unlike what was the case last year, adding that these chances are not accurate and are statistical studies that indicate and show some indications, according to what he told the Kingdom, Al-Shaker told Al-Mamlaka TV.

The rainfall during the current winter season is excellent from an agricultural and rainwater standpoint, he added.

He pointed out that the amounts of rain this year are the opposite of last year, and that the summer of 2023 was the hottest since the beginning of climate records, according to a number of global sources, and recorded record temperatures that had never been recorded before in Amman, where the record was broken on August 14.

In the current days and New Year's Eve, there are no major weather conditions, and there are weak and scattered chances in general, and the weather will be humid in the next three days, fog may form in some areas, and low temperatures will be recorded, he stated.

Al-Shaker noted that the Gaza Strip falls within the regional climate that characterizes the Kingdom.
