Reality and Challenges,” Qaisi added that the official figures clearly indicate that the number of tourists has reached 5.937 million visitors to Jordan since the beginning of 2023, which exceeded expectations, in addition to the fact that tourism income has reached JD4.894 million.

Regarding the recovery rates of tourist numbers, he explained that the country’s recovery rate is 23% and ranked 9th globally, compared to 2019.

The Social Security Corporation (SSC) issued a decision to postpone loans for tourism projects for a period of 6 months without interest, pointing out that 23 projects are faltering due to the crisis, Qaisi noted.

He pointed out that the current crisis is not the first facing the country, as Jordan has always been strong and recovers quickly after crises.
