Fuel prices expected to be reduced in January

19-12-2023 01:54 PM

Ammon News - Energy expert Hashem Akel expected that fuel prices would be reduced in varying proportions next month.

In a statement to Ammon, Akel expected that the price of 90-octane gasoline would be reduced by 2.4% (22 fils per liter), and that the price of 95-octane gasoline would be reduced by 1.8% (20 fils per liter).

He also expected to reduce the price of diesel will decreased by 3% (22 fils per liter).

Akel said that there are ten days left for the Pricing Committee’s decision, and there may be a change in prices, especially with the worsening Bab al-Mandab crisis, which may slightly affect oil prices.

It is unlikely that Jordan would be affected by this, Akel stated, as the supply lines are close to Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
