Missile directed at Eilat intercepted over Red Sea

Ammon News - Israeli media sources said on Wednesday that the Israeli army announced the interception of a surface-to-surface missile that was heading towards Eilat over the Red Sea, according to Haaretz.

Israeli Army spokesperson Daniel Hagari said: "The target did not cross into Israeli territory, and did not pose a threat to civilians. The warning was activated according to policy."

Israeli radio reported that two explosions had occurred over the Red Sea near Eilat, and that there was suspicion of intercepting missiles or drones launched from Yemen.
