Israeli media sources said on Wednesday that the Israeli army announced the interception of a surface-to-surface missile that was heading towards Eilat over the Red Sea, according to Haaretz.
Israeli Army spokesperson Daniel Hagari said: 'The target did not cross into Israeli territory, and did not pose a threat to civilians. The warning was activated according to policy.'
