Ammon News - Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC), Nisreen Qatamesh, said Sunday that the center received 11 cancer patients from the Gaza Strip to receive treatment.
The ages of cancer patients who arrived from the Gaza Strip ranged from 1.5 to 19 years, she added.
Qatamesh indicated that the center provides cancer patients coming from the Gaza Strip and their companions with all their living and treatment requirements.
The period of receiving treatment for cancer patients coming from the Gaza Strip may extend from 6 months to a year, she noted.
The 11 patients are the first batch of 41 cancer patients who will be received by the center, which continues to make efforts to bring in larger numbers of people fighting cancer in the Gaza Strip, after the only cancer treatment hospital in Gaza stopped working.
