His Majesty King Abdullah II on Saturday departed on a European tour that includes the UK, Italy, Germany, and France to rally international support to stop the war on Gaza.

His Majesty King Abdullah II’s meetings will cover the dangerous and deteriorating situation in Gaza, and the need to facilitate the provision of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.

 

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi said earlier that His Majesty King Abdullah II will begin a European tour on Saturday, the main goal of which is to rally an international position to push for stopping the war on Gaza and delivering aid to Gaza Strip.

Safadi explained during a press conference on Saturday with his counterpart, Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Jolie, that the goal of the tour is to ensure the safety of civilians in Gaza Strip.

Safadi stressed the Jordanian effort led by His Majesty the King to stop this war.

There are expanded discussions within the framework of efforts to stop the escalation in Gaza and its surroundings, ensure the protection of civilians, and adherence to the rules of international humanitarian law, he added.

The meeting discussed the need to launch immediate and effective international action to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.
