Jordan-Qatar trade at $118mln in H1 of 2023

Ammon News - The trade balance between Jordan and Qatar during the first half of this year amounted to about $118.1 million.

The Qatari Planning and Statistics Authority on Thursday reported that the Jordan-Qatar trade grew by 7.5 percent in the first six months of 2023 from $109.8 million in the same period last year.

During the first quarter of 2023, trade between the two nations hit $58.5 million against $54.9 million during the same period in 2022.

Jordan exports many commodities and various products to Qatar, including vegetables, fruits, meat, dates, cheese, milk, poultry, grains, sweets, rice, juice, nuts, oil, ghee, pickles, herbs, honey, eggs, and coffee.

Meanwhile, Qatar's exports to the Jordanian market include various chemicals such as car oil, slovenic acid, lutriene, aluminum molds, paraffin, polyethylene, iron rods, chemical fertilizers, plastic bags, organic fertilizers, and medical solutions.
