Ammon News - President of the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) Khalil Hajj Tawfiq, confirmed that the volume of trade exchange between Jordan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2022 amounted to 3.730 billion Jordanian dinars, of which 840 million dinars were exports to Jordan.
Tawfiq indicated the importance of developing economic cooperation relations between the Jordanian private sector and the Saudi sector.
"We want Jordan and Saudi Arabia's economic relations to always be a model of fruitful cooperation that meets the aspirations of the two countries and their leadership," Tawfiq said during a meeting with the Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Hassan al-Huwaizi, on the sidelines of the 10th Arab-China Business Conference.
"Jordan and Saudi Arabia's relations must be moved to real partnerships, based on the principle of mutual benefit, which is a need and necessity, and achieves common interests, through Arab economic unity and Arab integration, in light of the economic challenges the world is witnessing", he added.
He also stressed the need to find integration between the two economic visions of the two countries in a way that serves common interests.
Tawfiq indicated that it was agreed that a Saudi commercial delegation from the Chambers of Commerce will visit Jordan soon to see the investment opportunities.
For his part, al-Huwaizi stressed the efforts of the Saudi private sector to achieve the common interest and enhance bilateral economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries, stressing the need to intensify visits between business owners.
He indicated that the Jordanian-Saudi relations are an example of Arab cooperation in all fields.
