Ammon News - Dozens of government officials, business owners, and companies hailing from Jordan and Iraq will convene at an economic forum aimed at elevating the commercial, industrial, and investment relations between the two nations.
Organized by the Iraqi Business Council in Jordan, the two-day forum will be held in Amman on the 20th of June under the slogan "Building Bridges of Joint Prosperity", focusing on industry, finance, communications and information technology, contracting, construction, real estate, energy, and mining.
At a press conference held Sunday, Vice Chairman of the Council Saad Naji said the forum is held to "serve our common interests, ensure joint partnerships are established, and capitalize on opportunities in both countries," stressing the Council's commitment to building on signed agreements.
Seminars on investment, industry, housing, financing, and creating opportunities for banks, financial companies, and Jordanian exchange companies to enter the Iraqi markets will be held during the forum, in addition to discussing many recent business-related studies and research, he added.
Furthermore, an exhibition will be held for businesses to showcase their products and services to industry experts and explore new distribution opportunities to help boost trade between the two countries.
In 2006, the Council was founded in Jordan to serve as a platform for businessmen to share their views, exchange ideas and information, and create employment opportunities through trade and social missions.
