Ammon News - The Cabinet Tuesday approved a draft law amending the Civil Procedure Code for 2023 to "streamline" litigation procedures and introduce online applications.

The Cabinet approved a bill amending the Sharia Trial Procedures Law for 2023 by which parties to a case would litigate without attending Sharia courts in person.

The draft law would enable Sharia courts, the Sharia Public Prosecution, and offices of reform, mediation and family reconciliation to document and enter data electronically.

It approved a draft law amending the law for the formation of Sharia courts for 2023, which goes in tandem with the constitutional reforms that included special provisions for appointing the president of the Sharia Supreme Court and regulating judicial inspection.

The Cabinet approved the De-Institutionalisation for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities law for 2023, whereby there would be more focus on including persons with disabilities in their communities and promoting independent living for disabled people.

It approved an amended law for the provisions of the basic regulations of societies for 2023 to make them abide by the conditions and procedures for collecting donations.

The Council also approved an amended bylaw for the National Centre for Curriculum Development for 2023. The chairman of the Higher Council of the National Centre for Curriculum Development would be granted the authority to supervise the centre's work.

The Cabinet approved an amendment to the Social Security Fund bylaw for workers in the Ministry of Education for 2023 to address cases of entitlement to the end-of-service reward in the event of resignation.
