Ammon News - The Jordanian Seismological Observatory (JSO) at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources recorded, Saturday, an earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale, north of Damascus near the Syrian-Lebanese border.
President of the observatory Ghassan Sweidan said that the earthquake, recorded at 2:25 p.m. Jordan time, occurred nearly 238 kilometers away from Amman at a depth of 12 kilometers.
