JSO picks up 4.2-magnitude earthquake east of Damascus
The Jordanian Seismological Observatory (JSO) at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources recorded, Saturday, an earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale, north of Damascus near the Syrian-Lebanese border.
President of the observatory Ghassan Sweidan said that the earthquake, recorded at 2:25 p.m. Jordan time, occurred nearly 238 kilometers away from Amman at a depth of 12 kilometers.
