Ammon News - First Deputy Lower House Speaker and Chairman of Jordanian-Egyptian Parliamentary Brotherhood Committee, Ahmad Khalayleh, stressed the "deep-rooted, historic" Jordanian -Egyptian relations.
During the committee's meeting on Sunday with Egyptian ambassador to Jordan, Mohammed Samir, Khalayleh said the two countries share similar positions on the Palestinian cause.
Khalayleh added that the House has accomplished multiple reform legislations and laws that would develop Jordan's political life and enhance the participation of the Kingdom's youth and women.
He also stressed that this committee seeks to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields and overcome Jordanian community in Egypt and the Egyptian expatriates in Jordan.
Meanwhile, the committee's members stressed the necessity of transferring Egypt's expertise to Jordan in the field of using natural gas, which contributes to reducing Jordan's high energy bill.
For his part, Egyptian envoy said bilateral relations are "distinguished and deep-rooted," adding that Egypt has a "long" experience in using natural gas, which would reduce energy bill for the industrial zones, stressing the importance of overcoming obstacles facing the two countries' investors.
During the meeting, he stressed convergence and similarity of the Egyptian and Jordanian positions on the Palestinian issue.
