Eradah Party condemns Israeli storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque

Ammon News - The Eradah Party issued a condemnation of the Israeli occupation forces' incursion into Al-Aqsa Mosque/ al-Haram al-Sharif, assaulting Muslim worshipers, and detaining over 500 individuals, including women and senior citizens.

In a statement, Eradah Secretary-General Nidal Batayneh said that the attacks by the Israeli forces against worshippers at the al-Haram al-Sharif constitute a violation and a brazen provocation that instigates violence and conflict in the occupied Palestinian territory, and contravenes human norms and values.

The party emphasized in its statement the imperative of the international community taking an unequivocal and forthright position against the Israeli government, and holding it accountable for the aggression against worshipers, recurrent racist vitriol directed towards Palestinians, and the inflammatory actions of Israeli government officials.

The party called on the Jordanian government to expel the Israeli ambassador from Amman, and to recall the Jordanian ambassador from Tel Aviv.

The party reiterated its endorsement of any actions undertaken by the Jordanian government to safeguard the sanctities of Jerusalem and uphold their Arab, Islamic, and Christian identity, which constitute a priority for their guardian, His Majesty King Abdullah II.
