JCC participates in Arab-French Economic Summit 2023

Ammon News - The Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) took part in 4th Arab-French Economic Summit 2023, which was held on Wednesday in Paris.

A statement issued by the JCC on Thursday said that the summit , jointly organized by the French-Arab Chamber of Commerce (CCFA), the Union of Arab Chambers, Business France, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Marseille, and the International Chamber of Commerce, was titled "A partnership that must be forged in a world in crisis."

The event discussed a number of key topics, entailing environment and water, industry, modern construction projects, food, nutrition, health care, banking, medicine, funds, climate in addition to the sustainable cities and the renewed Arab-French economic relationship.

ACC President Khalil Hajj Tawfiq said that the summit, which was held under the auspices of French President Emmanuel Macron, presented an opportunity to conduct an assessment of economic and trade ties between the Arab countries and France, and to explore means of enhancing them.

Tawfiq, who headed the Jordanian delegation to the summit, praised the commercial relations between the Arab nations and France, noting that the JCC is working with the CCFA Arab chambers members to unify their positions on various economic and trade issues.

He also praised the CCFA's contribution to making the markets of the Arab nations stronger on the map of world trade and positioning them as a key regional hub for business operations, emphasizing the importance of fostering closer ties between the Arab chambers of commerce and those of the European Union member states.

"Many French companies are investing in Jordan in various sectors, including energy, communications and construction," he indicated, noting that such investments contributed to providing job opportunities in addition to promoting economic growth in the Kingdom.

On the sidelines of the summit, Tawfiq held meetings with representatives of Arab embassies in France, heads of chambers of commerce, organizations and French business associations, and French stakeholders.
