Ammon News - Israeli forces have killed at least nine Palestinians and wounded over a dozen others during an ongoing large-scale raid and ensuing armed violence in the Jenin refugee camp in the northern occupied West Bank, Al Jazeera reported.
The Palestinian Presidency called what is happening in the city of Jenin and the Jenin Refugee Camp as a “massacre” carried out by the Israeli government.
According to Palestinian officials an elderly woman has been reported among the dead.
Sixteen others were injured with live ammunition, and three are in critical condition, as per the latest reports.
This is considered one of the deadliest days in the occupied West Bank since Israeli forces intensified raids at the start of 2022.
Only one of the nine people killed has been identified so far as 24-year-old Saeb Issam Zreiqi.
Injuries are continuing to pour into hospitals, and Israeli forces are obstructing the work of ambulances and medics, health officials said.
