Ammon News - The Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI) and the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) agreed to hold a joint exhibition in both countries to showcase products in the two countries' markets towards achieving industrial integration.
During a meeting in Saudi Arabia, JCI President Fathi Jaghbir said Jordan offers great opportunities for economic integration with Saudi Arabia, thanks to a recently-passed investment law and the several border crossings that are key to boosting two-way trade, according to a JCI statement released Monday.
Jaghbir said Saudi Arabia's rapid development in various fields indicates the country is "on the right track" to achieve the 2030 Vision launched by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, stressing the "distinguished" Jordanian-Saudi relations and a common desire to further expand cooperation.
He referred to the Saudi government's establishment of the Public Investment Fund, which aims to invest in a number of countries, including Jordan, in infrastructure, mining, health care, food, agriculture, industry and other strategic sectors.
JCCI Chairman Khalaf Otaibi said the meeting highlighted industrial prospects between the two countries, underscoring the need to regularly hold meetings to expand cooperation with a positive impact on the local markets.
The Jordanian delegation also held sideline meetings with Saudi industrialists and stakeholders.
