Rain, cold weather to prevail on Thursday

Ammon News - emperatures on Thursday are expected to be around their annual average, with relatively cold weather conditions prevailing in much areas of the Kingdom, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be moderate, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
Clouds at various altitudes are also forecast to form, with a weak chance for light showers in limited parts of the northern region, the JMD added, warning of poor horizontal visibility due to fog formation in the morning and late night hours over the highlands and plains.
On Friday, mercury levels will rise a few degrees, triggering fair conditions countrywide, with clouds at different altitude, while winds will be southeasterly light.
Today, temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 20 degrees Celsius and a low of 9C, while the port city of Aqaba will see a high of 28C, sliding to 17C at night.
