Jordan, World Bank talk mechanisms to develop transport ministry' strategy

Ammon News - Minister of Public Works and Housing and Minister of Transport, Maher Abu Al-Samin, on Thursday discussed with Manager of the Transport Global Practice for Middle East & North Africa Region at The World Bank, Ibrahim Dajani, mechanisms for upgrading the strategic plan of Jordan's Ministry of Transport 2023- 2027.

According to a ministry statement, a World Bank's ad hoc team, since the beginning of 2022, has started reviewing the draft document for updating the ministry's strategic plan, aimed to integrate the environmental dimensions, the regional transport axis and the legislation governing the sector in its various forms.

The team is also reviewing the institutional framework and organizational structure of Jordan's transport sector and Ministry of Transport aimed to upgrade the Kingdom's related policy, the statement said.
