Ammon News - The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that the Anti- narcotics Department’s (AND) employees followed up information received about two suspects of drug trafficking in possession of a large amount of hashish, and that they intend to sell and promote it inside the Kingdom.

The media spokesperson confirmed that by collecting information, it was confirmed that the two people possessed these quantities, and planned to transport them by one of the vehicles, as ambushes were placed along the road, they would take in the Mafraq Governorate, and they were stopped and arrested, and by searching the vehicle, 62 bags of hashish were hound hidden inside it.

In another case, a special investigative team followed up and collected information about a person wanted in drug trafficking cases, who was classified as very dangerous, to determine his whereabouts, raid and arrest him.

The media spokesperson added that the investigation team determined the location of the wanted person, as a special security force headed to the place, and when they raided it, he and two other people who were with him tried to flee, but they were followed up and arrested, and by searching the place the investigation team found quantities of narcotics prepared for sale.
