Ammon News - Prime Minister, Dr. Bisher Khasawneh met on Wednesday with the secretaries and general managers, stressing their role and responsibility in implementing the public sector modernization map.
During the meeting, which was held at the Institute of Public Administration (IPA), PM called for the necessity of returning to Jordan so that it sets an example in the education and transportation sectors.
PM said that the government has a comprehensive political, economic and administrative modernization project that extends for 10 years and crosses governments, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II and supported in this effort by HRH Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II.
He added that the public sector modernization program, which was established and contributed to the development of the Jordanian state, has weakened in some matters and performance.
He stressed that the public sector should serve the citizen, and that it is entrusted to the first line of ministries, explaining that the public sector development map will not affect any of the rights of employees, in terms of reducing the number of employees.
It was the public sector that led the development process through the first centenary of the Jordanian state, and established national institutions that achieved renaissance, development and stability over a hundred years, PM said.
