CSPD launches service of issuing family book electronically

Ammon News - The Civil Status and Passports Department (CSPD), in coordination with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, launched new electronic services for issuing family books.

The director general of the department, Fahd Al Amoush, said in a press statement on Tuesday, that the launch of electronic services related to the issuance and renewal of the family book came to facilitate the citizens and provide them with the best service.

He added that the launch of the services related to the issuance of the family book came as a continuation of the electronic services that it had previously launched, which amounted to 15 services; enabling citizens to issue their documents electronically, relieving them and saving their time and effort.

And he indicated that citizens can benefit from the new services related to issuing a family book for the first time, renewing it, or issuing it as a damaged or lost replacement by requesting the service through the electronic portal the department's official website (www.cspd.gov.jo) and then choosing the list of electronic services , or access the e-services link (https://eservices.cspd.gov.jo), then open an electronic account to activate the account by sending the citizen’s photo with the ID card, to verify the identity of the service applicant, activate the account and pay the fees electronically through (eFAWATEERcom).

Al-Amoush emphasized that the electronic request related to renewing the family book is accepted by an adult family member registered in the civil registry to issue the family book as a renewal or replacement for the damaged one.

As for the issuance of the family book for the first time, it is done by one of the spouses electronically, and when requesting the service of issuing the family book as a replacement for the lost, the request shall be submitted by the head of the family in person and according to the instructions applied in the department.

Working on these services comes as part of the ministry's efforts to accelerate the digital transformation process in the Kingdom in cooperation with all ministries and government institutions. In an effort to develop digital services to replace spatial services, to reach full digital services that include all sectors, making it easier for citizens to access a unified window for interconnected government services, which is one of the objectives of the public sector development plan, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship said in a statement.
